The Future Predicts Small Cars for American Consumers
Repair Shop Websites is always interested in seeing how the economy is shaping the auto industry, and what that means for the future. Research shows that people will be looking for smaller, fuel efficient cars in the future. That does not necessarily mean people want to sacrifice things like power and cargo space. This research was done by AutoPacific, which is a future-oriented automotive marketing research and product consulting firm.
“Our research indicates that American car buyers are definitely willing to buy a more fuel-efficient car, but that they don’t want it to be much smaller than what they are driving today,” says George Peterson, president of AutoPacific, the research firm behind the study. “Tomorrow’s successful small car won’t be tiny. It will be reasonably sized, have increased fuel economy, adequate performance and a full load of customer features.”
