“Our research indicates that American car buyers are definitely willing to buy a more fuel-efficient car, but that they don’t want it to be much smaller than what they are driving today,” says George Peterson, president of AutoPacific, the research firm behind the study. “Tomorrow’s successful small car won’t be tiny. It will be reasonably sized, have increased fuel economy, adequate performance and a full load of customer features.”

“Stay positive. It is not an option. The best advice I can give you is stay away from the news and focus on what your customers truly want from you and that is confidence. The confidence that you will do what is needed and that is to save them money and give them safety. Boy that was simple wasn’t it?

Given our current economic situation, it is easy to get down and hope we can survive, especially those of us in extremely depressed areas like Ohio, Florida and Michigan. Believe me; I hear it all the time how bad things are. If you don’t, there is no way to look forward and create an environment that promotes success. Let’s face it. If you’re always looking down you can’t see where you are going.

As a business owner, I’ve had tough times and good times just like you. But if I let the bad ones get the best of me, then people around me, especially the ones that I truly care about will sense it and also get down. I’m not sure about you but that is something I can’t let happen. So my glass is always over flowing because I don’t have a choice, at least the way I see it. I guarantee that by just changing the way you look at the current situation, it will increase your chances of making it. Not only will your customers appreciate it but your employees and especially your family and friends.

Lately, I’ve come across several of you who have just about given up. My suggestion is don’t. Use what you have and look up. Being more positive results in positive results. It is that simple…believe me it really is.

I guarantee that by just changing the way you look at the current situation, it will increase your chances of making it. Not only will your customers appreciate it but your employees and especially your family and friends.”
